What owners wrote

Was driving in newmexico on hot sumer day. Tire failed. The tread and sidewall shreaded. Firestone claimed it was not their fault! Finally replaced the tire at a discount price of $70.00. There was no reason for this tire to have failed. Had been driven the day before about 800 miles over hot highway. This was a brand new tire on a new vehicle. So sign of a hole or damage could be found. However tire was in bad shape. (tiresize: p265 70r16)( DOT number: tire size: p265 70r16 )

July 2000

I was stopped at a traffic light and when I accelerated the spare tire hoist cable broke due to fraying causing the spare tire to fall from underneath the truck. The driver behind me ran over the spare. Fortunately, I had just began to pull off so speed was not a factor and there was no damage to the other vehicle or person.
