What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
While driving north on dagsboro road I crossed the railroad tracks and the rear axle on the passenger side broke catapulting the vehicle into a telephone pole on the left side of the road and causing the vehicle to turn over two times. I don't know if it was turning end over end or sidewise. The telephone pole broke off at the bottom and also at the top leaving the top hanging on the wires. I didn't realize that the left rear tire had come off until the car was being moved to the salvage yard.
Tamara recall we were in an accident, we hit a 190ib deer at 70MPH and the air bags did not deploy. Was driving on interstate 49 south.
I own a 2008 chevrolet uplander which displays a "service engine light" when driving in rain or snow, on trips more than an hour in length. This problem has occurred on more than twelve occasions, and has been taken to three dealers under warranty for repair. Diagnoses include wrong gas cap, wiring harness short circuit, maf failure, fuel injector fouling, air filter blockage, etc. None of these diagnoses have proven correct, and the problem still exists.
Having an issue intermittently where the "service stability system" message flashes on the message panel at random times when driving. When this happens our brakes lock up at the same time. This is an extremely scary situation when driving on the interstate or in heavy traffic. We have taken this vehicle in to the dealer to have this checked and they were not able to replicate the issue, therefore we were advised nothing was wrong.
