Automatic sliding door closed on my daughter's hand. It did not stop closing, and I had to forcefully open it to free her hand. Her hand was smashed between door edge and door frame.
Tl*the contact owns a 2000 chevrolet venture. The contact received recall letter # 04v597000 (latches/locks/linkages: doors:latch). The recall repair was performed on july 12, 2005. The contact stated that on may 15, 2007, the side door failed again. When the contact would close the side door, it would re-open. This failure occurred on several occasions before it would close. Once it closed, the dome light would remain illuminated and the door open indicator constantly chimed.
