Reported at 11,800 miles, August 2008 Fire

I was riding slow through my neighborhood about 15-20 miles per hour and the car just shut off, that was the first time! It had happened many times since then and also just like many others on here have stated, the car seem like it is about to shut off while im sitting at a light then all of a sudden it jumps forward almost causing me to rear end someone, that happens quite a bit or it shuts off while idling. Oddly no one knows why?? This car needs to be recalled before people start getting seriously hurt or die.
