A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
I had a severe side impact on my 2008 chrysler sebring when another vehicle ran a stop sign and broadsided me. I have side airbags, the curtain airbags and the ones in the seat. Not one airbag deployed. Chrysler is saying the impact was not sufficient to deploy the bags. I don't accept that. The damage to my car was $8,500.00 and had to replace both front and rear doors and the entire side frame. The air bags should have deployed.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chrysler sebring. While driving 45 MPH, the contact attempted to decelerate and applied the brakes but the vehicle did not respond. The failure caused the steering wheel to seize and the contact was unable to maneuver the vehicle, crashing into the median strip. The vehicle was destroyed and the air bags did not deploy. The contact and a passenger were injured as a result. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was contacted and the contact was awaiting a response.
My accelerator has been sticking and begin not long after I bought the car used in 2010. I thought at first it was the car mat getting in the way but that was not the case this last time on sunday october 2,2011. I was pulling into parking space and had my foot off the accelerator when the car accelerated on its own and I hit the cement curb which was taller than most. There was substantial damage to the lower passenger side of the car. I was able to slam on the brakes getting it to stop before further damage.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chrysler sebring. While driving 45 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to schumacher chrysler, dodge, jeep, ram of delray (2102 s federal highway, ste a delray beach, fl 33483), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and advised the contact to schedule an appointment with the dealer. The contact was informed that the vehicle was previously repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 08v152000 (electrical system) in 2007.
