Tl* the contact owned a 2010 chrysler town and country. While the vehicle was stationary, the driver's side door caught on fire. The contact stated that smoke escaped from the speaker on the driver's door near the power window master switch panel. The contact exited the vehicle and contacted the police. After returning from inside of the residence, the contact noticed that the interior of the vehicle erupted into flames. The fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. A police report was not filed.
The ignition turns off. This has happened to me approximately 5 -6 times. Turning a corner, hitting a small bump in the road or just driving. Sometimes I hear the click of the key turning or just feel the loss of acceleration. The car turns off. Most of the time I have been able to put the car in neutral and restart it without any incident. There have been close calls of vehicles avoiding me while I recover from this happening.
