What owners wrote
While filling the fuel tank, a fire erupted due to the fumes coming from the tank, possibly from static electricity. The next day I took the van in to my local dodge distributor to check out the integrity of the fuel tank ( no damage was visible, even to the paint) and they suggested I let them install a "ground strap on fuel filler neck" of the fuel tank. I agreed, and asked why something like that was not already in place, but did not receive a satisfactory answer.
