Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the driver lost consciousness due to a medical issue. The vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree. The air bags failed to deploy with the impact. The driver sustained bruises to the body from the seat belt webbing. The front seat passenger was killed on impact. A police report was filed of the incident. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a collision center.
Car was not able to start with clicking noise. Also fuel pump was still running long after car was turned off and exited. Problem was the tipm. This is a recall for other dodge models that are 2011 yet it is not for my van. This is over a $1000 problem to have dealership change the tipm. Now my airbag light is on. I'm finding mass of people had this problem because of water intrusion in connection in engine compartment. How is this not a recall?
