2007 Dodge Nitro latches & locks problems

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge nitro. The contact stated that the key that was used to open and close the doors was lost. A locksmith was notified and was unable to change the door locks due to a plastic cover over the cylinder. The plastic covering that could not be removed was a manufacturers design. The authorized dealer stated that the entire door connection required replacement before the cylinder lock could be replaced.

The vehicle would then become hesitant, stall and restart independently. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and an independent mechanic, and both advised her that they were unable to diagnose the failure. In addition, all of the exterior door handles were fractured.
