During a head-on collision with another truck neither of the airbags in my 2001 dodge ram 1500 quad cab deployed. Combined speed at impact was around 60 MPH and the damage to my truck was such that it was considered a total loss. The dealer and my insurance company both indicated that it would be a good idea to pass this information on to you for any follow-up you might wish to conduct.
While driving at 50 MPH on a raining day consumer applied the brakes and vehicle slid and hit another vehicle, rear ending it. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy. Driver sustained chest injuries.
Steering pull and poor handling. Ie wandering, drift, pull to the right even after alignment(s) at different shops including dealership. Problem has been ongoing since purchase of vehicle when new. Vehicle now has 65,000 miles and has worn 2 sets of tires and almost due for a 3rd set.
In traffic going down the road at 65 MPH, the dashboard caved in. Loose pieces everywhere. I didn't know if this had affected the electronics or not at the time. I just had to pull over and cut through three lanes of traffic. Luckily so far, just some minor electrical problems here and there. I am scared this will affect the airbag system later on. Dodge says there is no recall on this. Very unfortunate, last dodge I will ever own.
