What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
Vehicle lost control going around curve at low speed, causing motor to come down/gas cables to malfunction, resulting in sudden acceleration/injury/death. *skd
Weather was damp, going down a grade, went round corner, hydroplaned after hitting a puddle, slammed vehicle into retaining wall, air bags did not deploy.
Vehicle started leaking gas between the connection of the fuel line and fuel tank and caught fire. Previous work had been done on the vehicle to correct a fuel leak under a recall.
My complaint is in regards to a serious defect/crash hazard in suspension: front:control arm: lower ball joint defect that has been recalled (id 00v421002, dec 15, 2000) last week my daughter had just got off the interstate and her right front ball joint broke completely off with no warning or sign of wear. This also caused the axle to pull away completely. I got the car fixed, and believe it or not the left side let go today, again just as she got off the interstate on her way home from school.
1995 eagle talon tsi automatic transmission went out. Here's how... I wasn't even moving and went into the car wash and nothing happened car didn't even move. It will start in park and neutral. But will not go in gear. No sound was made I was going in the car wash and went to push on the gas and car did not go anywhere. So the employee's there had to push it through the car wash. Will not shift at all. Fluid level is good and clean has been served before but why did it go out. I've check everything.
