Vehicle was stationary at a traffic signal and rear ended by another automobile which pushed it into the stopped vehicle in front. The drivers seat collapsed backward to a horizontal position in the accident leaving me laying down in the seat. My neck and legs were injured in the accident.
I started my car this morning and waited a few minutes for my son to come out. No more than 3 minutes and my passenger mirror started smoking really bad. My husband ran out and it was on fire!
Driver's side heated seat went out; dealer says will cost $600 to replace/repair. Passenger side still works. This is one of the reasons we bought this vehicle. We have been long-time ford drivers -- buying new -- but may never buy a ford again.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford 500. Upon changing gears from park to drive, the vehicle independently accelerated to a high rate of speed without warning. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure to determine if a dealer could test drive the vehicle and provide a solution. The manufacturer had one TSB on the engine, but the contact was uncertain if the failure was related. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
