Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-350 sd. The contact stated that the check engine warning light remained illuminated constantly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for diagnostic testing and each time there was a different set of codes that were generated. The vehicle was never repaired. The dealer stated that they were working on a software update to be installed in the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and a claim was filed.
Upon starting the vehicle, I noticed that the check engine light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it has been diagnosed with a bad def pump, heater and sensor. These are for emission control and I have been told that these parts are not a warrantied item. Seems that this should be covered as it for the safety of the environment.
