What owners wrote

I drive a 2009 ford focus. While driving down the highway I will have the wrench light come on. I take it to the dealer and they find nothing wrong. When the light comes on the car loses power. I turn the car off, wait about a minute and turn the car back on. At that time the fault clears and the car drives like normal. This typically happens when I've driven for about 25 to 40 miles.

Reported at 36,115 miles, June 2010

While driving at a steady speed the car lost power, the tach dropped to 1,000 RPM. The yellow wrench light came on. Car started slowing down. Pressed accelerator and nothing happened. Car would not respond at all. Pulled off the road into a parking lot. Took car out of gear and the idle started to vary from 500 to 1500. Shut the car off. A few seconds later started it up and was able to drive home without incident. It has occurred on four more occasions since then. Most recently 2 weeks ago.
