What owners wrote

2007 ford freestyle with 30,411 miles. Equipped with constantly variable transmission, traction control and ABS. The traction control and ABS light has come on. Normally while cruising at 65 to 70, the RPM is just under 2000 RPM. Every few hundred miles, the transmission locks up so that the RPM at 65 to 70 is about 3000 RPM. The engine speed stays proportionate to the vehicles speed as I decelerate rather than going into a free wheel mode.

Reported at 30,400 miles, October 2008

My 2007 ford freestyle started making a "revving up" type sound when car was in park or reverse. It would feel like it was going to lunge forward if I was stopped at a light ect. It stalled out on me and the wrench light would come on. It would start back up. I took it to the dealer asap when this started happening. I have approx 80,000 miles on my car and was told I was past my warranty due to mileage and they would not honor the 5 yr warranty.
