What owners wrote
While traveling north on ca-2 near san fernando road, the steering started to feel wobbly. About 2 seconds later, the computer screen in the instrument cluster displayed an alert saying to service the steering soon; about 2 seconds after that, it said "steering loss - stop safely" along with an audible warning sound.
My 2013 ford fusion hybrid steering wheel was loose and felt like it was about to come off while driving. The steering wheel would wobble side to side and was not secure. This happened while driving on the expressway. I took my vehicle to a ford dealer in west palm beach, florida. I learned that ford had recently issued a recall (ford ref # 18s08) for 2014-2018 ford fusion loose steering wheels. My 2013 fusion has exactly the same problem.
