What owners wrote

The rear backup camera will periodically fail and not show what is behind the vehicle while backing up. The backup camera monitor will receive a message that states contact the dealer for repair. This is similar to the same recall notice I received for my 2020 Ford Mustang GT, yet I have never received notification of a recall for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. I reported this same issue to my Ford Dealer when I purchased my 2020 Ford Mustang GT.

July 2020 Crash

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact had been observing an intermittent problem with the back-up camera for more than 5 years. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed that the camera needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available to repair the vehicle.
