What owners wrote

Seems my 2006 ford taurus has this common condition. I noticed the damp padding on the front passenger side only after hearing a squishy sound when I pressed down on it while adjusting the mat. So I pulled the carpet up and sure enough the padding was wet like a sponge. I could see where the water seems to come from the firewall on the passenger side, near the center console. This problem is very annoying and makes me unable to concentrate on the driving.

July 2008

When there is a heavy rain. Water builds up on the floor boards of the front passenger side of the vehicle. Researching this online I notice that there are many others with similar problems which leads me to believe that this sis a defect rather than a one time thing. The cause of the leak seems to be in the engineering of the in-cabin filter and crowl.
