While exiting a highway at normal speed and with no impact, collision, or obstacle of any kind, the airbags in this 2023 Genesis GV70 deployed spontaneously. The unexpected deployment caused me to lose control of the vehicle, and a three-car collision followed. I sustained a head injury and aggravation of a pre-existing traumatic brain injury; I remain under medical care. There was no crash before the deployment - the deployment caused the crash. No warning lamps, messages, or symptoms appeared before the failure.
