I am a heavy highway construction inspector for wvdoh and while working on I 81 sb in martinsburg, wv this morning around 2:00 am while performing my duties I attempted to pull out of my lane closure into traffic when my truck literally got stuck halfway out into live traffic. It was as if I was stomping on the brakes instead of giving it gas.
The contact owns a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at undisclosed speeds, the engine was idling low, and the vehicle hesitated like it would stall. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light on several occasions, while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle jerked and then accelerated. The contact stated that when the accelerator pedal was released, the vehicle continued to accelerate. The brake pedal was depressed to slow down the vehicle.
