When shopping for a new Vehicle I noticed this but purchased the vehicle anyway. I attempted to look under the hood of my new GMC Terrain. I have a (hopefully temporary) handicap from a medical procedure I have been dealing with for over a year. I found that the hood assist springs or air shocks have been eliminated from the 2024 model. I can lift the hood on my 2010 GMC Sierra, but I had to have my wife help me lift the hood on my 2024 Terrain. My guesstimate is the hood weighs 50 plus pounds!
