What owners wrote

SUDDEN ACCELERATION, while foot on the brake. This caused us to have an accident hitting cemented poles in front of a store. Our CRV was badly smashed in the front, making it undriveable. There was three of in the vehicle getting jolted and jerked. I believe this problem needs to be looked into, before someone else is hurt.

September 2024 CrashInjury

The engine is consuming excessive oil. To my calculations (and through an abbreviated oil consumption test through dealer), the vehicle is burning 1/2 a quart of oil every 1000 miles (no leaks). Before noticing between oil changes the car would go almost dry between changes. The oil light would flicker on and then go off, even though there was less than a quart of oil in the car. The dealer claims having to add 1/2 quart to 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles is considered normal consumption.
