2019 Honda HR-V brakes problems

Was stopped at red light. Decided to use brake hold feature and when traffic started to move I tapped the gas pedal to release the hold. The vehicle accelerated at an excessive rate and I ended up in the rear end of the car in front of me. Air bag sensor came loose and wire was dangling after impact and bag sensor didn't upload.

I only had this vehicle for a few weeks and I was driving up a bridge when traffic came to a screetching stop. I slammed on my breaks and my hr-v did not slow down as it should have. I had a 2018 honda civic for 3 years before this and they drive in a similar way. I also have driven old, huge, heavy trucks and suvs for years. I've even driven on ice and I lived in one of the snowiest places on earth (literally) and have never had a vehicle not stop in this way...
