Tl*the contact owns a 2008 honda odyssey. The contact stated that there was a loud humming noise coming from the steering wheel while turning. This noise was present intermittently when the weather conditions were cold. The dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle in so that they could determine what was causing the noise. The dealer also told her to contact the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 23,000.
Back in december of 2010, my honda odyssey (VIN# [xxx]) began to become difficult to steer. This problem occurred randomly and intermittently, and seemed to occur more often at slow speeds. On 12/21/10, I took the vehicle to bloomfield honda, an authorized honda dealer, and was told that the steering pump system had failed and had to be replaced.
