While driving 50 MPH the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. While attempting to gain control of the steering the vehicle moved from the left to the right. The contact called the police, and was not given a police report. The mechanic replaced the tires, and stated that the failure was due to the tires.
Powering steering on 2005 honda odyssey minivan is extremely hard to steer at lower speeds. There is a serious issue with steering pump as evidenced by service bulletin 07-005. The steering wheel will make whining, buzzing and strange noises and eventually stop functioning. There should be a recall to fix this problem and not just a service bulletin as this is a known and common issue among 05-08 honda odyssey minivans.
