What owners wrote

Lose approx. 3 quarts of oil within a three month period. Vehicle makes clunking sound from front end when accelerating into a turn from a standsill.

Engine clicking sound has been increasing; otherwise, my 1995 honda passport dx runs well. Two mechanics have suggested the lifter bars are the problem. Others have reported this on other passports of the same year. These lifters seem to fail in other passports ([link removed] repair costs nearly as much as the car is worth! The use of faulty parts that have limited life expectancy was not communicated to consumers.

Reported at 85,000 miles, November 2003
