What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
Separate but related issues: 1) crash- car was parked at a gas station with nobody inside; after a minute or two it reversed, turned, came to a stop, then moved forward and crashed into a wall. Have gas station surveillance video footage to show. Has been described as "haunted." perhaps related to accident avoidance systems. 2) power does not engage on incline- on several occasions (repeatable) when the car is on a modest incline and stopped, the forward power does not engage causing car to roll backward.
Purchased new 2014 qx60 hybrid equipped with technology package, including intelligent brake assist with forward collision warning, and distance control assist. Initially the only issue was the vehicle hesitating when starting from a stop. The dealership claimed the vehicle needed a break-in period to optimize the engine and hybrid system.
Vehicle is moving when parked in inclined position. Removing the vehicle from "park" on a inclined road it is moving freely. We have parked on a inclined road and as soon as I remove it from park to reverse it went forward freely. I have to hit the gas full, in order to control the vehicle.
