I own a 1999 jeep cherokee sport and the drivers side seat frame broke. Upon bringing it to an auto body shop the employee told me when he ordered the part the parts store told him that they had a lot of them being ordered for that vehicle. I would like to find out if perhaps this should be a recall issue and if it is how to get reimbursed for the money I paid to have it fixed. *nlm
I was driving home from class today when I heard my seat pop. After that my seat became wobbly and unsecure. When I got home I went to check it out and the weld was ripped out causing the problem. What frightens me is I did not do anything unusual and if I got in an accident I could have been severely injured or worse.
