2014 Jeep Compass electrical system problems

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep compass. While driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle suddenly shut off and the brakes failed. The contact's vehicle crashed into the rear of a second vehicle. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

While driving on a busy street, the engine lost power and throttle control, traction control, and check engine lights came on, my vehicle then loses ability to accelerate. A couple of weeks pass by with my car being fine and then it happens again except this time my car wont start back at all. Took it to a mechanic where I paid for towing. Vehicle was limp and wanted to stall. Now have to pay for new spark plugs and throttle body replacement.
