What owners wrote

A 2010 jeep wrangler rubicon caught on fire only 10,000 miles. We were riding down the road and the engine lost power and the rpm's went to zero. There was no check engines lights on and all the gauges were fine. We pulled over to the side and noticed the smoke coming from under the jeep and under the hood. The fire department said they thought it was caused by a over heated transmission and maybe back the fluid up to the exhaust which ignited it.

Reported at 10,500 miles, October 2010 Fire

2010 jeep wrangler 2dr, manual transmission. Transmission jumps out of 1st gear. The transmission will jump out of 1st gear (jog) into neutral when beginning to accelerate from a dead stop. This event occurs every so often without any warning whatsoever. The vehicle has 630 miles on it and this jumping out of gear has happened on more than a dozen occasions already. It has already put me in an unsettling situation, occurring while attempting to cross oncoming traffic.
