I bought my mazda cx5 new a 2015 model year and experienced a thumping noise when we slightly put rear windows down. It wasn't just a noise though, the pressure in the car changed and caused both my husband and myself headaches. I have reported it to the service manager at the dealer we bought it from and they said the manufacturer is aware of it and they have a fix for it but you have to purchase it from them to get rid of the noise. I have read of the same complaint regarding the 2013 and 2014 years.
Traveling on the freeway I heard a pop sound and right away noticed a horizontal crack from the driver side of the windshield. Cracked turned out to be about 15 inches long. Reading from these post makes it a fact that the windshields of the cx5 are defective. What's the next step?
