Have had multiple brake failures including an accident that my daughter was involved in as a result of brake failure. The brakes will work fine for a short period of time and then out of nowhere you step on the brake and there's just a soft pedal for about 3/4 of the was before you get a very soft brake. Into this for thousands and now ford says a hydraulic brake sensor is the problem for between $2100-2400. Heard that it was fixed every time I've picked it up. Dangerous!!!

This is an update to the complaint from June- Because I have to compensate manually for the electric power steering, I’ve aggravated upper back injuries and strained hip muscles I incurred from work. I have to attend physical therapy for those injuries now, but it’s useless if my only mode of transportation prolongs my recovery.—— My 2009 Mercury Mariner’s steering wheel started locking up 3 months ago, and it’s hard to get the steering wheel and the tires to agree on one direction.

November 2024 Injury

While entering interstate highway, engine balked like bad gas. After two or three tankfuls and the vehicle dying in traffic, I left it with my dealer to find the problem. After a week, the vehicle had not died for them so I brought it home, only to continue with the same dying and hesitating when accelerated. A month or so later the dealer kept it again for about 5 days and it still did okay for them. They have no idea what the "problem" is.

Mercury mariner (2009) v6 4wd. Has stalled twice. 1. While driving at 35 MPH. It stalled and was able to restart once the vehicle stopped on the side of the road. We took it to a ford dealer and the throttle body was replaced. 2. Stalled when slowing to a stop. This was after the throttle body was replaced on 10/13/2017. Only driven about 500 miles. Both times vehicle was going down a country road.
