2011 Mercury Milan air bags problems

I did receive a letter about a year ago requesting to take my car into ford concerning the driver air bag and other things that needed to be corrected as well. All the recall work was completed except for the air bags. We were told that they did not have the parts needed in stock that we would be notified. As of today plantation ford has reached out to us, nor has ford motor company. The only reason why this came to mind was that we had an hit and run yesterday, and the airs bags did not work.

Takata recall-I was notified by ford by letter dated july 2016 of the safety recall notice 16s26/nhtsa recall 16v-384. No action has been taken to date to repair or replace the air bag. With all the publicity in the media of the potential danger my family now refuses to ride in my vehicle. The ford dealer denied me a loaner car.
