What owners wrote

I was driving down the highway. There were no warning lights on my dashboard aside from the TPMS light. There was a loud pop noise, so I pulled over to check it out. Within 30 seconds smoke came from under the hood and quickly turned from white to black. Then the vehicle caught on fire. It was completely burned with nothing but the trunk left in tact.

Reported at 94,000 miles, August 2019 Fire

In stop and go traffic, the air conditioner had the sweet smell of maple syrup and a few minutes later the check engine light came on. Within seconds, the car stuttered each time I attempted to accelerate. Once out of traffic, I looked and saw a large amount of coolant dripping from the car. The car was towed to the dealer who confirmed coolant built up pressure in radiator, hoses and transmission. CVT transmission is flooded with coolant and water, radiator and all hoses will need replacement.
