What owners wrote

Door lock actuator on both front doors froze after freezing rain/ ice storm. In the morning I opened the door and started the car (did not close the door) and went inside the house while it warmed-up. When I returned the drivers side door would not open from the outside or the inside handles. The passenger door had stopped working from the outside handle about 6 weeks earlier after a similar storm, though I was not aware of the relationship of the problem to the weather at the time.

Reported at 68,490 miles, March 2014 Injury

In cold/freezing temperatures when attempting to open a door the actuator cables become disengaged from the door handle, disabling access to the car from that door. The door is able to be opened from the inside but not the outside. In 2013 both front doors malfunctioned in this way. It cost $500. Per door to fix by gutting the door, reattaching the cables and putting the door back together. No parts, just labor. It happened again december 2013. It is a known problem for nissan and infiniti.

Reported at 110,000 miles, January 2013
