I have had alot of trouble with this car. But this did it for me. I was driving I could not turn my wheel straight I was going sideways & seen to parked cars I hit them icould not straightin my wheel my at all my tire was side ways parts under my car everywhere I was injured.
While turning left across traffic the vehicle seemed to not want to drive forward and then was hit broad side by another vehicle. The airbags did not deploy even though the vehicle was hit firmly around the passenger's side front tire and front fender and hood, the vehicle was a total loss. The steering did not seem to want to work and the seat belts did not lock in place.
Run-away idle speed. Prior to incident vehicle was driven 15 highway miles before stopping at a store - fully warm. Upon restart 5 minutes later, vehicle had abnormally high idle, 1500 to 2500 RPM. Idle did not drop during 6-mile. Drive home. Had to put transmission in "3" or "2" versus "d", just to try and keep vehicle speed under the 35 MPH limit on residential streets. Once home in driveway, put vehicle in park - idle climbed to 2600 RPM. Scary ! Ambient weather was about 70 f, with clear skies.
The brakes malfunctioned without warning. As a result, the consumer experienced extended stopping distance . Please provide additional information.
