While driving driver applied the brakes and pedal descended to the floor. This caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and hit a tree. Both frontal air bags failed to deploy. Driver suffered neck and back injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle was totaled.
Applied brakes on steep driveway and pedal suddenly went to the floor. Experienced greatly reduced braking capability. Found steel brake line failed due to corrosion (rust through) where it connects to braided steel section just aft of the ABS proportioning unit. Plan on having it repaired next week. 1998 plymouth grand voyager.
