What owners wrote

The fuel gauge in my 2006 pontiac g6 does not accurately register the amount of fuel in the vehicle once the gauge reaches the fourth of a tank mark. The was one incident when the vehicle registered empty when my car was full of gas. The dealership has made 3 attempts to fix this problem. To date the vehicle is still giving a false reading with the fuel gauge when it reaches one fourth of a tank. The gauge moves sporadically from 1/4 to 1/8 to empty, and back to 1/4 and so on.

I purchased my car in 2016. When I fill it up with gas there is a very strong gas odor that lasts for days. If you walk anywhere near the car, even if it has been sitting you smell a strong gas odor. I park in my driveway and there is a big stain where gas has leaked. I have chatted with people with the same problem for this year of car and was told there were no recalls for this year. I was told it is a very dangerous situation and could result in fire.
