Tl* the contact owns a 2009 pontiac g6. The contact was driving 55 MPH with the heated seat activated when it began to burn the contact abnormally. The contact turned off both the heated seat and the vehicle. The contact then noticed that the leather seat was burned severely. The vehicle was restarted and the heated seat began to cool after a long period of time. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the contact was advised that their was a short in the electrical seat and caused the seat to burn.
Driving on the highway, my car started to drift and I went to correct and the car flipped 4 times. I was unable to steer left or right, the steering locked up. There was a police officer right behind me when this happened, I did not get a ticket for anything. The car was totaled. The two passengers were taken to the emergency room and later released with minor injures. Now I am experiencing headaches and back pain and knee pain.
Car traveled off the highway, hit two tress and rolled over and no air bags deployed. (per pictures police report and testimony)
A friend following me 09-21-2016 noticed my brake lights were on constantly. Driving home that night I could tell the brake light stayed on, unless I was applying the brake and they would go off. Also cruise control would not work. Made an appointment with the local GM dealership where the car was purchased new for 09-27-2016. Dealership diagnosed car with a bad brake switch. Car was repaired and picked up on 09-30-2016 (brake switch replaced) cost 194.81. Drove the car on a 300 mile trip on 10-13-2016.
Whenever the vehicle is stationary or even in motion at low speeds, the steering locks up. The vehicle has to be turned off then back on in order for the steering to be released. There has been recalls on the same model and year vehicle as mines, but my vehicle by VIN has not been affected by the recall. This is extremely dangerous and GM should recall all vehicles to have this issue resolved. My fiancee and children were in the car as she was backing up when the steering locked up.
