What owners wrote
We were involved in a single car crash, it’s been over a month and it’s still under investigation. The steering link was still intact. Is there another reason that would have caused us to loose control of the steering and crash?
The fca has issued a v06 recall for the drag link on my vehicle. As stated in the recall, the outboard steering linkage jam nut may loosen, allowing one end of the drag link to separate. I checked my truck and one jam nut was loose. According to the recall, if the torque values meet requirement, the nuts will be welded to the adjuster sleeve. If the torque values do not meet requirement, the drag link assembly will be replaced. I then called my dealer and he confirmed that they could not weld it.
