Brake failure. Hard brake pedal resulting in the brakes not holding the car at a stop. On july 4, 2012 while stopped at an intersection the brakes failed to hold the car inplace resulting in the car creeping into the center of the intersection into oncoming traffic. A jeep with 6 people and an infant hit the right front side of the car and flipped over. The infant and 2 of the people in the jeep are in the hospital. The accident happened on hwy. 84 in daleville, alabama.
Was rear ended at high rate of speed then hard impact on front end while I was stopped--no deployment of my air bags--5 car accident other car air bags deployed, was on a highway. Ignition switch replaced prior to accident per recall. Accident and police reports were filed,
The vehicle was being driven at highway speeds, upon avoiding a collision with another vehicle, the saturn sky I was in had collided with the concrete center divider and became airborn. The airbags did not deploy after first colliding with the divider, nor after it had landed back onto its wheels. Hazard lights were operable, onstar did not activate. Injuries were sustained to both the driver and passenger.
First thing in the morning, when car is in reverse, brakes fail about 3 days a week. There is a pulsating in the pedal and the car does not stop right away. When taken to dealer, they could not reproduce the effect and said it must have been humidity. Online, there are many complaints about the exact issue.
Takata recall-I called my local dealership to have the recall repaired in may 2017. I was told the parts were in and was allowed to make an appointment. I took my vehicle in as scheduled, waited in the waiting room about 10-15 minutes to be told they "made a mistake" and the parts weren't available yet. I gave them my phone number for them to call when the parts were in and have not heard from them yet. Since then I have received 2 notices regarding the recall.
