What owners wrote
For entire time owned - there is a gap of seconds between pressing gas pedal and actual acceleration. When I press gas pedal there is a hesitation leading me to press harder. Then of course the car has a sudden sprint in acceleration. This is not safe. I have had the car for 5.5 months so I am getting better at waiting instead of pressing harder. But I feel this is definitely a defect.
I have a 2010 toyota corolla that frequently has a strong gas smell and on 3 different occasions the steering has given me a sense of control loss similar to the sensation of hydroplaning.
