I was driving in rain going about 35-40 MPH entering a curve when I saw a car stopped in front of me turning into a driveway. I tried to hit the brakes but my car actually accelerated to 55-60 MPH hitting the vehicle from behind. It threw the car I hit over 100-200 feet off the road into a tree. My car continued to accelerate and finally stopped 1-2 football fields' length up the road. I had over $23,000 worth of damage to my car including a cracked frame.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed, but the failure and remedy were unable to be determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 124,000.

As per dealers advice, it's ok to use vehicle pending repair. It's been 5 days and the part hasn't arrived yet. Contacted dealer few times to facilitate repair.
