What owners wrote
"takata recall" I was driving on scott street, when another driver ran the red light on the intersection and hit my car on the passenger side towards the back passenger door, and the airbag didn't deploy. I informed VW, they did a diagnostic text on my car and their findings was that the airbag did what it was supposed to do. I didn't take it any further.
Door locks stopped working for my VW jetta s 2.5 l. When I press the car key to lock the door, it gives sound that everything is locked. One day to my horror, I saw someone opening my car at night. I immediately rang alarm, went to my car and checked every door to find that they are not getting locked. No manual locks for this vehicle too. This really questions the safety of the vehicle. I took it to VW service. They told that mechanical part of latch failed.
