I was rear-ended while I was stopped in traffic. There was minor damage to my rear bumper however this caused numerous issues with my car immediately thereafter. I experienced numerous electrical issues and then it got worse. I lost steering, brakes and and the engine stalled. The car became immobile and had to be towed to the dealership. After they serviced the vehicle, they found that the battery shorted out and the ECU had failed.
The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, additional brake pedal travel was required to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that the traction control and service stabilitrak warning messages were displayed on the instrument panel and the steering wheel became firm. The contact restarted the vehicle to resume normal driving operation.
