December 2001 CrashInjury

I attempted to stop behind a car making a turn. As I depressed the brakes there was no response, the pedal went to the floor. After I purchased the van I had taken the van to the dealer about the brakes were not right, but I was told that was the ABS brakes were like that. Later I took it again in the winter when I checked the brakes on snow. The brakes were making a grinding sound--again the dealer said that's normal. I am not driving it now because I feel it is unsafe.

Reported at 95,000 miles, November 2004

Hi, I was driving this van when all of a sudden it stops. I had a very hard problem of trying to get off the road with no brakes or steering. I had it towed into service. They replaced everything fuel pump, sending unit, fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, distributor and reset the timing. It never did show up a check engine light or showed a code that something was wrong. I drove it two days later and it did the same thing. They checked it out and drove it again for a week and it happen again.
