This is not my personal vehicle, I work for an insurance company handling a claim in which two of our insured's employees were injured after losing control of their vehicle when the tread separated from the tire. A police report confirms this is how the incident occurred. I am reporting this as I am aware of these incidences ocurring with the steeltex, yet it is not part of the recall. Recall 95v24600; martin chevrolet said that the vehicle meets the recall, but the work had not been done and ms. Garuer is having the problem that is in the recall description, and the manufacturer continues to send a notice, stating that the recall work needs to be taken care off.
Intermittently windshield wiper circuit board malfunctions, causing windshield wipers not to work, affecting visibility, especially at night, and may result in a crash.
Windshield wipers would not turn off. Turning the motor off was the only way to turn them off. The windshield wipers came on by themselves and will not stop, when they do stop they do not return to park.
