Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet corvette. He stated while driving at speeds of 40 MPH the roof panel separated from the vehicle. The dealer was contacted and although recall number 09v491000, structure:body:roof and pillars was directly related to the failure, his VIN was not included. No repairs were made to the vehicle. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 19,000.
Was driving 45 down highway and the top for my 2007 corvette coupe started came off. It broke off one of the latches, before I could grab it and unlatch them both to bring into the car. The top then broke the back latch and flew off onto highway street. No vehicles were on the road at the time other than mine thankfully. Currently looking to have top replaced.
