What owners wrote
Strong smell of gasoline inside and outside of my 2011 c6 corvette grand sport with no visible fuel leaks. The garage is filled with the smell of gas anytime the car is parked with over 1/2 a tank overnight. The local chevrolet service center quoted $1,600 to pull the fuel tank and replace the left fuel pump. The service writer stated he has seen numerous identical issues on the c6 corvettes and even showed me photos on his phone of where the fuel pump cracks on the the top. My vehicle has 46,000 miles.
The fuel pump assembly is leaking and needs to be replaced. There is a very strong smell of gas coming from the car when parked. The manufacturer is refusing to cover this repair and it is hazardous to drive the car in the current state.
