Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH in a rain storm, the driver side windshield wiper suddenly broke off and dislodged from the vehicle and the passenger side wiper seized to operate. Smoke was also seen coming from the wiper area. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the wiper motor transmission kit and wiper motor had failed and needed to replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure was remedied.
